Multi-circuit systems
All DELTATHERM® refrigeration units, temperature control units or heating/cooling units can also be designed as a multi-circuit system, depending on the application.
In this way, the same or different media and/or control circuits are cooled or tempered via a complete system.
All controls for the cooling or temperature control process are carried out via one system. This can also be networked via bus connection if desired and required. The coordination of the individual circuits ensures greater control accuracy and process reliability.

Systems for heat recovery
Use of waste heat from production processes
In many industrial processes, whether in mechanical and plant engineering or in the chemical industry, heat is generated in the form of waste heat that is released into the ambient air or cooling water.
The technical options for the use of waste heat are based on a simple principle.
If a large part of this heat energy is to be recovered, heat recovery systems in the form of heat exchanger systems or heat pumps are required, which are integrated into the oil or cooling water circuit, for example.
Also, many state-of-the-art air compressors are already pre-equipped.
With these systems it is possible to recover a large part of the previously invested energy costs and make them usable again for other processes.
DELTATHERM® heat recovery systems are available with a wide range of options; including redundant pump, analogue interfaces (0-10 V or 4-20 mA) and digital interfaces (RS 232, RS 422, RS 485, CANbus, MODbus as well as Profibus and Profinet), emergency cooling, special voltage and much more.

Cryogenic refrigeration systems
Deep(est) cold applications up to -90°C
Also in the field of cryogenic or ultra-low temperature applications down to -90°C, so-called cryogenic refrigeration, you are in the right hands with DELTATHERM®.
In principle, a distinction is made between two systems
- Compressor refrigeration with electrically driven refrigeration compressors
- Nitrogen cooling by means of evaporating, liquid, cryogenic (-196 °C) N2

Air cooling and air heating systems from DELTATHERM® are special temperature control systems for air in which compressed air is cooled or heated for special applications.

Secondary circuit temperature control for monofluid systems
Heating and/or cooling through effective use of existing waste heat energies (primary energies)
Precise temperature control from -90°C to +300°C
by means of secondary circuits
In large chemical or pharmaceutical companies, for example, main energy sources are often available as cooling or heating power, such as steam, air, thermal oil, electrical energy or coolants.
In order to use these energy sources for heating and/or cooling reactors, for example, you need DELTATHERM® secondary circuits, so-called monofluid systems.
The monofluid systems are designed as a complete system with control cabinet: specifically designed for the respective process.
What do the secondary circuits work with?
Secondary circuits usually operate with:
- Steam or electric heater on the high temperature rail
- Heat exchanger with coolant flow on the medium temperature rail
- Brine cooled heat exchanger
- Heat exchanger cooled by heat transfer oil or nitrogen on a cryogenic rail
